MARY LOVE — 80 & FABULOUS
Cathy came to me a couple months before her mom’s 80th, searching for a way to make this birthday a milestone occasion. She described Mary Love as a firecracker, vivacious and unstoppable, even at 80. So I set out to make her celebration a reflection of her life.
They’d already chosen to hold the party at Mary Love’s retirement center, so we worked to bring the space to life.
You only need a few touches to make a moment memorable, so we focused the budget on food, flowers, and linens.
We ordered flowers from Fifty Flowers, my absolute favorite resource for affordable DIY flowers. Catering was dropped off by La Hacienda Ranch and a huge hit! We rented linens, sound equipment, and glassware from Simply Chic, a local company that saves you from a headache trying to source everything yourself!
The crowd made the evening sweet, showering Mary with love through a musical performance, personalized trivia, and a thoughtful poem written by her granddaughter.
